Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) Visa – Visa Requirements

The sponsor business will need to:

  • be a business operating lawfully
  • offer a full-time job on an ongoing basis for at least two years
  • satisfy the training requirements (Australian businesses only)
  • nominate an occupation on the Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL)
  • pay the skilled worker the market salary rate for the nominated occupation

Generally, the skilled worker will need to:

  • be less than 50 years of age
  • be working in an occupation on the Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL)
  • show that the skilled worker meets the skills, qualifications and experience necessary to work in the nominated occupation; by being on a 457 visa for the last two (2) years (Temporary Residence Transition stream) or have a positive skills assessment with 3 years experience (Direct Entry stream) or met the skills requirement under an agreement (Agreement stream)
  • show that the skilled worker holds the licences and registrations necessary to work in the nominated occupation
  • meet the English language proficiency required for the nominated occupation; vocational English (Temporary Residence Transition stream), competent English (Direct Entry stream)
